Spring Conference 2014

Spring Seminar
1st April 2014
Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club

Dear Colleague,

Attached please find ILI Flier with details of our forthcoming Spring Seminar, I would like on behalf of the ILI to make the following Comments.
• The Irish Links Initiative is a not for profit organisation which was set up some years ago as a volunteer group with the sole objective to ” PROMOTE / PROTECT / PRESERVE “ the ethos and traditions of what is best in Links Golf among the 40 odd Links golf Clubs in Ireland and the decision makers in these clubs.
• Each year we hold Spring and Autumn Seminars at which items and issues of mutual interest are discussed and shared by providing forums at which Head Greenkeepers / Secretary Managers/ Greens Conveners / and Club Officials have the opportunity to meet / network / benefit from the experience of their industry colleagues and partners.
• At each Seminar Guest Speakers are in attendance to answer Links maintenance and related question.
• The ILI is supported by the R&A, the STRI and other Official bodies.
• The annual fees involved are very modest – €250 for 18+ hole €150 for 9 hole. This allows members to attend seminars free of charge.

Finally if your club has not yet done so we would ask for your support as we would like to see all 40 links Club joining. In the meantime we would like to extend every good wish for the golfing year ahead and we look forward to meeting you at our Spring Seminar in Laytown & Bettystown on the 1st April.

Yours Sincerely

John Quigley
President
Irish Links Initiative
